Thomas Kremer is a German-Brazilian photographer and visual content specialist, born in 1969 in São Paulo. His photographic journey began early in life – with a Leica in his hands and a small darkroom where he developed and enlarged his own images. This hands-on foundation and his fascination for light still shape his visual language today.
In the 1990s, Thomas worked in Germany alongside influential European photographers such as Axel Gnad, Hans Hansen and Peter Knaup. The intense years in the professional studios of Düsseldorf refined his style: precise, minimal, and guided by a strong sense for materiality and atmosphere.
Upon returning to Brazil, he founded his own studio and quickly began working for the country’s major publishers and brands. By his second year, he was producing monthly editorial work for up to 22 national and international magazines. This led to advertising campaigns, cultural projects, book productions and numerous exhibitions across Brazil and Europe.
Today, Thomas lives in Upper Bavaria and leads a large photo studio in Regensburg, managing a 15-member creative team. Alongside his full-time role, he continues to work as a freelance commercial photographer, videographer and author, and pursues personal art projects and long-term photographic series. His work has been published in several photo books – including “Brazil Waterline,” “Le Havre – Architecture in Sight,” and “Lots of Lodz” – and showcased in international exhibitions.
Thomas Kremer’s signature style blends technical precision with emotional clarity. Whether in advertising, editorial work or artistic projects, he creates visual narratives that give space to what truly matters – light, form and the quiet presence of the subject.

Thomas Kremer é um fotógrafo e especialista em conteúdo visual germano-brasileiro, nascido em 1969 em São Paulo. Sua trajetória fotográfica começou cedo – com uma Leica nas mãos e um pequeno laboratório fotográfico, onde revelava e ampliava suas próprias imagens. Essa base prática e sua fascinação pela luz ainda moldam sua linguagem visual hoje.
Na década de 1990, Thomas trabalhou na Alemanha ao lado de fotógrafos europeus influentes, como Axel Gnad, Hans Hansen e Peter Knaup. Os anos intensos nos estúdios profissionais de Düsseldorf refinaram seu estilo: preciso, minimalista e guiado por um forte senso de materialidade e atmosfera.
Ao retornar ao Brasil, fundou seu próprio estúdio e rapidamente começou a trabalhar para as principais editoras e marcas do país. Em seu segundo ano, já produzia trabalhos editoriais mensais para até 22 revistas nacionais e internacionais. Isso o levou a campanhas publicitárias, projetos culturais, produções de livros e diversas exposições no Brasil e na Europa.
Hoje, Thomas vive na Alta Baviera e dirige um grande estúdio fotográfico em Regensburg, gerenciando uma equipe criativa de 15 membros. Além de sua função em tempo integral, continua atuando como fotógrafo comercial freelance, videomaker e autor, e dedica-se a projetos de arte pessoal e séries fotográficas de longo prazo. Seu trabalho foi publicado em diversos livros de fotografia – incluindo “Brazil Waterline”, “Le Havre – Architecture in Sight” e “Lots of Lodz” – e apresentado em exposições internacionais.
O estilo característico de Thomas Kremer combina precisão técnica com clareza emocional. Seja em publicidade, trabalhos editoriais ou projetos artísticos, ele cria narrativas visuais que dão espaço ao que realmente importa – luz, forma e a presença silenciosa do sujeito.
